Hamleys Larnaca International Airport - Cyprus' major airport

The Objective:

Hamleys UK were seeking a position within the main Cyprus International Airport through their Cyprus business partner; one that ensured maximum profit margin and substantial brand exposure.

The Challenge:

The challenge was to secure and negotiate the best location within Larnaca International Airport (to attract passengers both arriving and departing the airport), project manage the store opening (including recruiting and training all personal and establishing all sales and operational procedures) and deliver the brand in accordance with Hamleys requirements.

The Outcome:

With significant experience in retail negotiations, an in depth understanding of the Hamleys brand and a full understanding of customer buying behaviour at Airports we were able to:
  • secure the best location and fixed directional signage in key locations
  • successfully recruit a team of outstanding individuals who fully understood and embraced the Hamleys brand
  • deliver an engaging and entertaining retail experience including regular promotional activities, product demonstrations and events
  • deliver a successful financial outcome despite challenging market conditions
  • boost Hamleys brand in other markets including the Middle East, Scandanavia & Russia
